Dangers in Riding Bike

Motorcycles are the second most run vehicles in west after cars, though this ratio is higher in eastern hemisphere. In United States alone, each year more than a million bikes are sold each year. Providing all the fun, pace and thrill, motorcycle are notorious for their accidents and limited precautionary equipment and features. According to one poll, motorcycle riders, in a severe accident are likely to die 34 times more than a similar accident in a passenger car. This fact alone is enough for motorcycle riders to get their belts tight and straighten their driving attitude.

Firstly, bikes are less visible on a road, especially at nighttimes because of one head light. It is a great disadvantage they have over cars and trucks which have at least two main headlights. And at worst, if the headlight gets dim, chances for collision sore. Secondly, being slim and low area, bikes at times are totally blind to rare and side mirrors and front of large trucks with frontal engine box. This fact, although, not a bikers mistake, do cause some serious accidents. So it’s better, that bikers firstly, drive in their own designated lanes and avoid sharp over taking and cuts. And secondly, driving at low to medium speeds can easily make things easy since control on vehicle is the key in dangerous conditions.

Some Devastating Dangers of Riding Bike Ir-Responsibly

Bikes nowadays are powerful. With over 3 cylinders and several gears, they are truly a bullet with the driver seated in the most precarious of seating and arrangement. They move as fast as car but he only difference being the scantiness of poor safety gear.

But ironically, in a recent survey in USA, it was found that firstly the motorcycle accident pattern is stable for twenty years. And secondly, motorcycle itself is the main culprit. A survey was conducted to see the relationship several motorcycle related factors and their impact on accidents.

Chinese are Massive Tire Producer

This category is also vast which might include tires used for agricultural lands, forest, snow and sand. But mainly they are referred for tires used by giant wheel loaders, miners and other construction and mining/digging machines. They are also popular with the name of earth moving tires in Europe. There are some big names from China as well in this segment and Chinese construction boom has relied heavily on vehicles having their own domestically produced tires.

They are essentially all radial tubeless with high ply rating and mostly block or lug pattern tread. The main difference and competent are the steel belted and nylon belted tires. Both have their distinct advantages but steel belted are more in use. Nylon, by virtue of its nature, is more flexible, which makes tires less prone to bending while falling in a steep pothole. But in terms of robustness, steel radial otr tires are by far much stronger. Most high performing OTR tires are made to take even several inches of thick and long nails and screws and still pass the puncture test. One of the key factors is the tires resistance to puncture. Since owing to their sizes, these mammoths are no easy to remove and be replaced.

Multiple Types of Tires

In the coming lines we will shed some light on the types of ATV tries out in the market and how they are different.
Normal ATV tires, which come fitted as a default tire with an ATV. These are good enough for normal riding and generally all terrain friendly. But if a driver wants to tread in a biased fashion towards a certain terrain, its better that he/she shift to a specialized one.
This is rarest and least used of all ATV tires. They are mainly for sand and are unworkable for any other surface. Named peddle tires, these look very much like a flat plain ball of rubber with no embossing. Slight grooves just allow sand to pass through, giving a forward push.

Mud ATV tires are mainly built for driving in mud and swamp inflicted terrains. They are the most in demand since they are used in variety of functions starting from agricultural use to racing and entertainment. These are produced with large gaps and uneven spacious tread blocks for maximum traction plus cleaning channel. Additionally, the design of mud tires spins as significantly as feasible to rid the mud from the tire

ATV all Terrain Vehicles

All terrain vehicles, as suggested by the name are the most adaptable of all automobiles . Getting attuned to their surroundings an most of terrains is their forte. Technically, the operate on tires with low pressure than other conventional vehicles. This feature mainly improves their grip and traction in varying terrains. Secondly, the seats are straddled by the operator with low back support. Thirdly steering handle similar to bi cycles are used instead of round shaped steering.

Most of the ATV’s are single rider but some also come with an extra space for passenger. They have robust engines with few cylinders and range from 49 CC upwards to powerful 1000 cc ones. The mostly come with 4 wheels, but for added stability, six wheelers are also in produce.

Main uses include mostly for agricultural, entertainment and racing. For agricultural use, their low tire pressure, high speed makes them very responsive on such difficult terrain and is ideal for small tasks. Racing has always been a favorite of such vehicles with some major tournaments in Europe and USA. Other places to find them are parks, beaches, and resorts where they are rented and is used as entertainment for children via fares.

Speed Thrills But Kills

Not all can understand this famous proverb except for those who have either sustain a massive shock of their beloved or those who have lost their loved ones in accidents caused of either mistake of others. Over speeding has always been the main factor behind the accidents. If car is under control in limited speed than likely the chances for accidents reduce to more than 90%

Accidents has mostly affected the life of young passionate drivers who have so much to see in this world but their negligence have cost them immensely. The reason being is their lost of control and over speeding which thrills them at first and than drag them to death.
All over the world the rising ratio in Western countries despite such strict traffic laws, drivers easily manage to escape from traffic violation charges and same is the case in Middle Eastern countries where most of the young deaths are not because of drugs or terrorism but because of traffic accidents.

Car Tire inflation

Inflation or air pressure in tires is akin to having blood in a living body. It’s a tire’s lifeline. Besides keeping other performance measures in mind, keeping constant pressure and avoiding leakages is also a manufacturer’s focal point. Tires have mostly been filled with plain air. Some people do make use of nitrogen as tire inflator to enhance its performance. Such drivers mostly are from racing arena.
Proponents of nitrogen in tires go for fuel efficiency and light weight. Critics are concerned about increased danger owing to nitrogen’s high inflammation nature. Costs also build up for having pure compressed nitrogen which is also not easily accessible.

Compressed air is mixture of nitrogen, oxygen and other gases. When filled in tire, presence of hydrogen and oxygen can form tiny water droplets and dampen the tire rubber from inside. It can lead to internal corrosion and slight leakages over time. Compressed air is prone to seep through rubber compound. On the other hand nitrogen is seen to have maintained good pressure and stability for longer time. Plus being more light weight, nitrogen particles tend to move upwards which results in total tread in contact with road much less. This feature reduces resistance and ultimately has impact on fuel consumption.

Tread Pattern – Directional

As mentioned in earlier posts, tread is the surface of tire which directly comes in contract with road and is responsible for smooth ride, traction while running and grip when cornering. Mostly, car tires have a symmetrical tread pattern that is the same along the whole breadth of the tire. The tread pattern on an asymmetric car tire varies across the tread with different segments adapted for specific functions.

The tires outer border consists of large stiffer tread blocks which help with cornering. The inner tread blocks are smaller and designed to shift water and improve grip on wet surfaces. The middle of the tread usually has a continuous strip of rubber called rib to help straight line stability. Tire made on this pattern are referred to as rib pattern tires.

Asymmetric tires must be fitted the right way round on the wheel that benefit from the tread block arrangement. The sidewalls are clearly marked. Care has to be taken regarding the tire direction while placing on the rim. If the pattern is running on the opposite direction, the wear will substantially increase and slight effects can be felt in gripping. Directional tires are mostly used in passenger car tires which are made for high speed running.

Importance of Automobile Repair

In today’s world automobile is the most important and popular medium for transportation. Similarly to keep the automobile working in a good condition, it is essential and really important to get the automobile examined by the mechanic regularly. Many people with laziness often avoid this thing and then faces even deeper trouble at crucial time. Time is money and no doubt we should value this statement and plan each thing on right time, in which maintenance of such things are necessary.

This may sound hectic and yes it is but one of the major advantage is that it increases the life of that automobile. It has been found that the major reason for car accidents is the ignorance of the owners with respect to maintenance and checkup of the car. It is similarly important to get the oil changed and fluid checked properly and regularly to avoid any break downs. to avoid coming problems before hand pre-repairing is the best technique.

Rain Groove

Another important engraving on tire tread is rain groove, which are gaps on the surface designed in a manner as to channel out water once it comes into contact with a tire. The rain groove was introduced in the late 20th century, greatly enhancing tread groove patterns they vary region wise such as in tropical of Philippines and South America, special emphasis is put on this particular feature. Heavy rainfall is the main reason for special need for these regions. But generally it’s a part of every tire to channel water from a tire’s footprint.

Some tire has special tread patterns which do not necessitate the presence of grooves since their very design pumps water out while flexing. This creates smoother ride compared to tires which have plethora of groves on their tread. Grooves help a vehicle maintain stability in skidding roads when they are wet and allow better traction. The groove mostly starts from the centre of tire ending all the way till the tire shoulder. They are mostly in curved shape to channel the water better without creating much splash.

How to Maintain Car Tires in Critical situations

Tire damages

Damages can result to the vehicles if their tires are run through ditches and bumpy roads which can have a bed impact not just on the rollers but the tires as well. This normally happens when the tires run through some sharp edges like on the pavement and are cut and spliced in some spaces which can prove to be dangerous while driving and must be dealt with immediately.

Tire alignment

This is a trick that can also come in handy when purchasing a new car. When the steering wheel is having a problem in moving the front tires in either direction it means that there is a possibility that the alignment of the tires is incorrect in which case it can be extremely unsafe to take that vehicle on the road as it can dislodge at any moment’s notice resulting in an accident.

Front tires

As everyone knows, the front tires are the ones that are used more than the back tires due to then being turned and twisted t any given turn which results in them wearing out faster than the back ones and therefore should be taken good care and one needs to be cautious and make sure that they are in good working condition.

Planning a Road Trip

Whenever we think or plan to embark on a long journey than we certainly think of a nice luxury car to accompany us throughout the distance. First driving impression of the car should be comfy and luxury and then second thing for budget travelers is the fuel consumption ratio of the car. If the car is big as in 4 - 6cylinder or 1800 – 2400 cc and luxury than surely it is going to consume plenty of fuel which will cost the trip a few extra. But people do not want to risk by going in untrustworthy cars that can cause trouble in between

A good reasonable car, which is reliable for taking on too long routes without any engine problems or heat up problems than certainly it can be a good and efficient decision. Not necessarily the car should be new or luxury for providing comfortable seats to the passengers as well as drivers but any car which is maintained well and is capable of running excessive long routes can be opted. Some people prefer latest and luxury cars only for comfortable drive and to avoid tiredness as driving a new rental car for long routes is fun.

How to Determine Thickness of Tires Sidewall

Tires side wall is an important element which is a must know for every vehicle owner, driver and one who deals in cars, automobiles.
Thickness of sidewalls varies across type of vehicles and generally the one with low aspect ratio or thin sidewall have better performance level since the effect of lateral forces is comparatively less while cornering. Thin sidewalls are also stiffer compared to broad sidewall.

Thin sidewalls, basically reduces the tire inflated area, thus has less air contained in it and more rim weight and rubber. This makes the car drive more stiff and bumpy and fewer cushions on uneven roads. Such types of tires are mostly suited for sports cars and heavy trucks. Continuous efforts are made to reach the optimal design structure and sidewalls which can give its user a long lasting and smooth ride.

Before choosing anything related to the car, you first ensure that the product must be handy and comfortable when being used. If you are looking for tires and rims than it certainly depends on what vehicle you are driving and what are the driving conditions, analyzing on these entire factor you can opt for the best type of tire.

If a person has a sports car and he wants to have good handling and performance than high performance tires specially designed for high speeds in both dry and wet weather can be used. They will be manufactured in a different way like, a soft softer rubber compound for enhanced grip especially on high speed covering.

The same scenario goes for light weight truck and heavy duty truck and buses.

They must have excessive amount of tires for the support as well as those tires are heavy and much harder cause of the heavy duty load it carries. Winter tires are for different regions and places where the weather is mostly chilled. These tires are specifically designed to run smooth on snowy weather and perform better at icy, wet, cold and uncertain weather.

Automatic Cars or Manual Cars

Many arguments and discussions have carried out online and on other platforms as well yet the conclusion is yet to come out. Most of the people prefer going for a manual car while few prefer going for an automatic. The both groups are right as they have different scenarios and surroundings, for the women it is obvious that they would opt for an automatic drive for its comfort and luxury while most of the men especially youngsters prefer having manual for the rapid pick up and other features. The discussion can be carried out depending on the routes and traffic they faces.

If the car is to be purchased for a person who needs to go for a long routes and his/her works involve moving from city to city and etc than he/she must opt a manual drive. A person who is in such a populated and congested city where the traffic is immense and routes are narrow, than the person should prefer having an automatic car.

The automatic car will provide comfort and ease for driving as the driver would not have to change the gears and press the clutch each time for turning and congested roads. A person who has to go each day for work on longer routes with lesser traffic can easily drive manual car, and it would not bother much. For some it does not really matter whether it is automatic or manual, they will be comfortable in both and would know how to drive both with perfections.
